Real estate guidance with a personal connection.
Home is where you can be yourself, put down roots, and build your next chapter. Helping you find that place, or move on from one, is a responsibility I take personally.
I’m Javier Puga-Phillips, a real estate broker with Cascade Hasson Sotheby’s International Realty and Vice Chair of Pride Connect. I help buyers and sellers in Portland, Beaverton, and Lake Oswego make informed decisions with clear guidance, thoughtful preparation, and honest advice. I work in both English and Spanish.
As a gay real estate broker in Portland, Oregon, I work with many LGBTQ+ buyers, sellers, and people relocating to the area. I welcome clients of all backgrounds.
My story
Originally from Mexico, I began my real estate career in Southern California in 2005 and made Portland my home in 2020. Today, I’m a licensed real estate broker in Oregon, and I live in the Alberta Arts District with my husband, Isaac.
Having moved between countries and states, I understand that relocating involves more than changing your address. There’s a new community to discover, a different routine to build, and the question of where you’ll feel at home.
Those experiences shape how I support my clients, with patience, practical information, and respect for what each move means to them.
A connection built on understanding
As a gay Latino immigrant, I know how meaningful it is to feel seen, respected, and understood. My experiences inspire my work and my connection to Portland’s LGBTQ+ and Latino communities.
I want you to feel comfortable sharing your goals, introducing the people who matter to you, and asking questions in the language you prefer. You should have room to tell your story without someone making assumptions about your life.
I welcome clients of all backgrounds and provide the same care, professionalism, and commitment to everyone I serve.
Pride Connect and a network beyond Portland
Pride Connect is a Sotheby’s International Realty affinity group that brings together LGBTQIA+ advisors and allies. As its Vice Chair, with a focus on membership, I work to build connections with agents across the country and around the world. In 2026, I hosted the Pride Connect party at the Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event, where I met agents from many different markets and helped spread the word about Pride Connect.
These relationships matter for my clients. If you’re moving out of Portland, I can introduce you to an agent I trust in your new city. If you’re moving here, those same connections often lead people to me.
What you can expect from me
I start by listening. Before we talk about properties, pricing, or marketing, I want to understand what you hope to accomplish and what concerns you have.
If you’re buying, we’ll explore your options, look carefully at properties, and discuss the trade-offs so you can make a confident decision.
If you’re selling, we’ll build a plan around your home, your timeline, and your goals, from preparation and pricing to marketing and negotiations.
Throughout the process, you can expect clear explanations and direct conversations. Sometimes the right decision is to move forward. Sometimes it’s to wait or walk away. I’ll help you think through those choices without pressure.
