One of the things I value most about serving as Vice Chair of Pride Connect is the opportunity to connect with real estate professionals in different markets. These relationships allow me to introduce my clients and friends to local advisors when their plans take them beyond Portland.
Today, I’m pleased to introduce Daniel Sotelo, a fellow Pride Connect member and Global Real Estate Advisor with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. A Tucson native, Daniel helps buyers and sellers throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Daniel and I are highlighting each other’s markets as part of a collaboration between Sotheby’s advisors. I’m sharing his perspective for anyone interested in Tucson, while Daniel is introducing his audience to Portland and the services I offer here.
Finding the right fit in Tucson
Just as Portland’s neighborhoods offer different experiences, Tucson is made up of distinct communities. The right fit depends on what matters most to you: views, privacy, access to amenities, architectural style, or the type of home you want to maintain.
The Catalina Foothills and Ventana Canyon offer foothills settings where mountain views may be part of the appeal. Oro Valley and Dove Mountain include newer communities, while central Tucson has historic neighborhoods with a different character. Starr Pass is another area to explore as you consider the setting and lifestyle that feel right to you.
There can be meaningful differences from one home and neighborhood to the next. Daniel can help you explore those differences and narrow your search around your priorities.
A local perspective for buyers and sellers
Daniel works with local and relocating buyers, sellers, second-home clients, and people purchasing new construction. His experience also includes complex sales involving multiple owners or estate-related circumstances.
As a Tucson native, he understands that choosing a home involves more than finding an attractive property. He helps clients consider neighborhood differences, property condition, pricing, and the practical details that can affect their decisions.
Daniel is bilingual, a University of Arizona graduate, and a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. Before his real estate career, he worked as a paramedic, a background that informs his calm and prepared approach to serving clients.
Planning your next move
Whether you’re exploring a move from Portland to Tucson, looking for a second home, or preparing to sell a property in Southern Arizona, having someone who knows the local market can make the process easier to navigate.
You can learn more about Daniel and his approach at tusre.com. If you’d like an introduction, please feel free to reach out to me at Javier@JavierPDX.com or 503.343.5561. Daniel can also be reached at 520-727-9000.
If you’re also selling a home in the Portland area before your move, I’d be glad to help with that side. You can read more about how I work with clients moving between cities in The Power of a Global Network.
